FRIENDS

These are some of my great friends in Honduras!

This is my friend Hellen.  She is so kind to me.  This picture is a picture of us beside the church on a block.  Her dad is the preacher at the church.  She comes to the seminary sometimes.  I love her!

My new best friend at school is David.  We like to go down the slide together!  He started to be my friend when I was tutoring with my tutor, Melissa.  She is his aunt.  She usually holds some of his stuff and whenever he would come to get it we just started playing together, pretty much.  He is kind of shy sometimes like me.  He is in the first grade.  When I'm at lunch he tries to come and sit by me but he can't because he has to sit at the first grade table.  Whenever he can't sit by me he says, "come see me by the mini playground."  I like him a lot. I like the way he says my name... he says it like this O ly via... :) He is one of my best friends.  He is sooooo soooooo sooooo sweet to me.

This is my tutor, Melissa.  She and I are BEST FRIENDS!  This was a day at school when then high schoolers were having their culture day.  I thought it was cool.  I tried some of this green peppermint and I DID NOT like it!  I made a best friends bracelet for us together so we will remember each other whenever I go.  And on the backside off the best friends bracelet it says, on one of the butterflies, BEST, and on the other side of the butterfly it says, FRIENDS.  And whenever you put the butterflies together and turn them around, you can see BEST FRIENDS!  Melissa is very sweet.  I love her so much!  I give her hugs now.  We like to go outside and practice our Spanish.

My school story

My first day of school was great.  I had the best teacher I think.  We have books in our classroom and desks.  My desk I love!  I think the desks are awesome because they stand like a table and they have an inside.  The number on my desk is 8. We have three recesses.  At the first recess I think it was kind of funny because everyone got their lunch boxes out and ate, ate, ate.  Everyone packs a big snack and a lunch.  The first day I didn't pack a snack but after that I asked my mom to pack a banana.

I have a Honduran tutor.  Her name is Melissa.  I really like her becuase I think she is the funest Spanish teacher ever.  I love her so much, I think she is great.  I have learned a lot of new Spanish words.  It is hard to say all of them, especially without her asking me them.

I want you to pray learning the language.  I  want to be able to speak Spanish because then I can talk to more people.  And also pray for me to make friends because it is hard to make friends here.

Honduras is a Great Country!

I want to tell you about Honduras.  Honduras has good weather.  And the weather is really chilly in the mornings and it is the perfect temperature in the middle of the afternoon.  Let me tell you about the lemons my dad picked!!  They are pointy on the part you pick, and if you touch it the thorns might go through your hand.  The lemon is really big!  And they are a little bit yellow and a little bit green.  It reminds of a big orange!  That is really big!  The Starfruit is really, really good.  It comes from a tree and you have to climb up the tree to get the Starfruit.  Usually I don't actually get it, I ask the boys.  The ones that fell off the tree and have been on the ground a lot are really gross to eat.  There is also a really , really sour, sour, sour fruit called Nances.  They kinda look like a cherry, but they are yellow.

I have a tons of friends and their names are Ariana, Sylvia, and Natalia.  Their ages are 5, about 8, and 3.  Two of them speak Spanish only and one of them speaks Spanish and English.  I think that is really cool and I want to learn it too.  I think that it will be a great experience!  I start with a Spanish tutor tomorrow and I am SO EXCITED about that!!    Here is a picture of some of our friends!

Today I went to Bryan and Christi's.  There was a baby cow, a big cow, and another baby cow.  My mommy took some pictures of me beside them.  Tomorrow maybe Mr. Roger will let me feed a baby cow from a bottle!! I hope so!!

Here is a picture of me waiting to go into Mrs. Christi's house.
